Here are some reasons you should use your crockpot for cocktails:

Hot Mulled Apple Cider
Hot Mulled Apple Cider
Ingredients
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 6 cinnamon sticks
- 1 medium orange
- 2 Tbsp whole cloves
- rum
Instructions
- Add the apple cider and cinnamon sticks to a crockpot.
- Using a toothpick, poke holes all over the orange. Poke the cloves into the holes and place in the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
- To serve, add an ounce of rum to a mug and ladle in the hot apple cider. Optional: Place a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Kahlua Hot Chocolate
Kahluah Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 6 cups whole milk
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 14 oz can, sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- kahlua to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients (except Kahlua) to the crockpot and stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occassionally.
- To serve, add a shot of kahlua to a mug and top with hot choclate. Stir to combine.
- OPTIONAL: Garnish with whipped cream, marshmallows or shaved chocolate.

Hot Buttered Rum
Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch ground allspice
- 5 whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 cups water
- 1-2 cups rum
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except rum, to a crockpot and heat on low for 3-4 hours.
- To serve, add an ounce of rum to a mug. Pour in the hot butter mixture and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon or ground nutmeg.
