Raspberry Bramble: A Taste of Chicago at Home

Raspberry Bramble: A Taste of Chicago at Home

Yum

Chicago is a place you can visit time and time again and have completely different trips depending on what your goals are. Last year we went to the Windy City for my birthday, but this time it was all about Sam! Since it was his birthday, we focused our trip around a Cubs game, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a blast, too! For example, I discovered this Raspberry Bramble cocktail and it was one of the highlights of 2018 for me.

The day we arrived was overcast and a little drizzly, so we decided an indoor activity would be best. We headed to the Hancock Building to get a good view of the city while enjoying a delicious cocktail. Hot tip: If you go enjoy a drink at the Signature Room on the 95th floor, you don’t have to pay to go up! The accountant in me is always keeping an eye out for your pocketbook. 🙂

I ventured outside my comfort zone with my cocktail choice. I typically go with a vodka press, but I decided to venture out with gin… and I’ve been hooked on gin cocktails ever since. So much so, that I’ve recreated this tasty drink into a simple DIY cocktail that is sure to fancy up your weekend without having to leave the comfort of your own home.

It’s always fun to make elegant cocktails at home to impress your friends, your partner or even just yourself. What is your favorite fancier-than-usual cocktail you’ve perfected?
